Our engineers were tasked with developing and manufacturing a custom transport device to support AUDI’s internal material handling processes for finished camshafts. The equipment had to ensure precise and safe load handling while meeting strict occupational safety and quality assurance standards.
We designed a transport cart into which camshafts are loaded on a rolling storage rack. The cart includes an integrated fork-lift mechanism that lifts the rack from the ground, ensuring precise positioning and a stable transport condition. This solution enables fast and efficient material handling, reduces the risk of handling errors, and increases safety. The carts are towable by forklift and can be linked together, optimizing logistics processes.
Due to strict safety and quality requirements, the cart is equipped with several sensors and mechanisms that ensure it can only be moved when closed and loaded, and when the internal lifting mechanism has raised the rack to the required position.
